Pliant makes these much easier. There is more wiggle room for RNG not in your favor if you wind up landing any of the durability saving/increasing abilities on a Pliant. With the two non-resin pieces, if RS doesn't work out, I just trash it and start over. The cost is so minimal. I might try a bit more on the resin due to the glioaether cost.

Just like the previous expert recipes, I find that Muscle Memory is the way to go. You know awfully quick if you are facing an uphill battle to finish the synth with enough quality.

Another thing that I find works a lot more often this time around, in part because we have more CP to work with given that a successful synth usually requires some Pliants anyway - is that when things line up "just right" - which can happen pretty often, once I'm at 10 IQ, if a primed shows - I put Innovation and then do 2 rounds of Basic-Standard-Advanced. That nets me nearly 6000 quality in exchange for 60 durability (not counting sturdies) and 126 CP with no RNG in that 6 step segment.

This isn't anything earth shattering, but usually late in the synth, I'm looking for the canned finish. Something that I know works. If I recall, we need something like 13000 quality before GS/Innovation/BB in order to hit the threshold without a Good to help us get there. As I get late in the synth, I wind up doing the math backwards and sometimes it adds up. If primed doesn't show up, it costs an extra 18 CP to pop Inn a second time. Not ideal, but it can work.

Given this new gear, the success rate on the parts is really high. I've spent more time making these fountains than I care to admit. After the first fountain, I'd say the success rate on the parts is upwards of 80%. And the time spent isn't bad if you ditch synths that start off with bad RNG and cut those losses.
