Crossover suggestion - Soul Calibur

Hey SE,

I would like to suggest Soul Calibur as the next crossover event.

The game is heavily focused on weapons and you could easily tie it into FF lore about the 12 legendary weapons and their previous owners and vanquishing evil.

From the lyrics of the franchise, I also feel that Soul Calibur philosophy also aligns very well with FFXIV.

Here's the lyrics of "The Edge of Soul":

I only know of the last two years but aside from Yokai, have there ever been out of IP collabs? I can really only think of Nier and Final Fantasy based ones.

The Garo PvP sets is the first thing that pops into my head. I don't think there are any others, though I could be mistaken.

Ooh that is true. I forgot Garo. Lol.

I've always held the impression that 14 likes to keep their events in house or to close friends of Yoshi. I wonder if there's a reason for it because I remember some saying there was a collab between 14 and PSO2 but PSO2 stuff never made its way over here. Makes me think they want to keep a certain "aesthetic" here while a game like PSO2 is pretty much the exact opposite.

Unfortunately its more likely theyll do a SC collab with FF16 rather than 14, Noctis got tossed into everything... and could definitely see the same with 16's MC.
