Reaper Class Is Disappointing

Reaper was introduced in Endwalker and has an Endwalker relic. We're just only at the first stage so far. Other jobs didn't get relics from previous expansions either. They get current content and new content going forward. It's no different for other jobs. The Omega Reaper weapon was recently added simply because it's the base model for Ultimate.

The same applies to other gear. Reaper didn't exist prior to this expansion, so there is no previous Reaper-themed gear. It shares Maiming gear with Dragoon.

If you want to get technical Reapers are the personification of Death, aka the Grim Reaper. This is always personified as a cloaked being, skeleton or not. In every Final Fantasy game this is the case except 14. Historically in Anime, Manga, and video games such as .hack// G.U, Japanese media never depicts Scythe users in Heavy Armor.

Reapers in FF14 are inconsistent with the representation of what they are supposed to be. They only look similar to reapers mid combat, which is dumb. Scythe users are like rogues, their supposed to be fast, agile, and elusive. You cant do that in heavy armor. For a Japanese game you would expect them to stick to their roots.
