Main screen issue

Hi, just a issue I cant seem to find an answer to...everything has been loading and playing fine up until maybe 3-4 days ago when after that every time I try to load the game it makes it up to screen where you can select start, data center, movies and title, etc. but at this screen the mouse cant select any option at all...its like an invisible wall has placed itself between the game screen and my mouse.

I have reinstalled but to no avail, the problem still persists...no idea why out of the blue it would do this, especially after a clean install.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as this is chewing into the remainder of my game time

While I can't think of a solution for the mouse not showing up, you can plug in a controller and then use the D-Pad to select an option and get pass the intro screen. You may be able to use the controller to go into Configuration and then in Display Settings maybe try using a different screen mode. Maybe go from Full Screen to Borderless or vice versa. I'm not sure what else could be causing this problem, as I haven't heard of it before.

The numpad should also work for selecting items. Use 0 to progress through the menu.

Hi, unfortunately I dont have any controllers and my mouse still works and can move around the screen fine, its like the pointer does not detect any of the options to carry over to the next screen.

You can also use the "virtual controller" bindings that FFXIV sets on the NumPad. basically you can navigate every menu like you would on a controller by using the numpad as a D-Pad (4 is left, 8 is up, 6 is right, 2 is down, and 0 is the accept button).

Try navigating the menu using this. You can try fiddling your display settings afterwards.

If it persists, I would say go to technical support. There my be a setting that was accidentally changed at some point that ended up causing the issue, and (hopefully) tech support can figure out how to fix it.

I love my fuzzy buddies, but every now and then one of them steps on the keyboard while I'm doing something and I see that flash indicating a key that did something got pressed and then I start panicking because often I can't tell just exactly what it was ... if it was something gravely important, especially if it was some random option that I'd never even have thought about in a million years and therefore would have no idea how to reverse!
