Personally I'd also love for the naming of certain spells to return to classic FF style (fire-fira-firaga instead of numbers) and for esunaga to be added to the game, maybe on like a big cooldown or something.
But... Spell 1, 2, and 3 IS the classic, original style, I thought?

Ah that's possible, I haven't played the first couple FFs but I just remember from all the FFs I have played that fire-fira-firaga... etc. always was a thing.
In any case, I'd argue that just having spell 1, 2, and 3 is not as interesting as having the name of the spell evolve with it.

This has been said multiple times in other topics, but the spell naming convention the series went with since FF8 makes a lot more sense in XIV than going for pre Playstation era nostalgia because the number associated with the spells don't say ANYTHING about what their use in combat is, often leading to the novice mistakes of assuming going with the higher number = better.

Furthermore relying on 80s and 90s nostalgia with the spell names is pointless since Final Fantasy games, remasters and remakes included, have been using the ra, ga, ja, etc suffixes far longer than the numbers, making it far more likely people are more aware of them than not.
