This would make the Puppets' Bunker trash mobs so much less aggravating...
Yes and no. I think the original FF limited spell names to 4 characters; you had, like "FIRE" and "FIR2" and "FIR3", yes, but also Sleep was "SLEP", Temper was "TMPR", Lightning was "LIT", etc. So you could argue that "Fire", "Fire 2", "Fire 3" and so on were the classic, original style, but I feel like it was more "whatever we can fit in four characters that won't be TOO confusing."
And while FF2 introduced full spell names and appended numbers, it was a different thing; you had one "Fire" spell, and as you leveled it up, the damage increased. So "Fire 3" was not the same thing as Firaga, but rather just "Fire" with more damage than it had when you learned it. (Also, I think this maxed out at "Fire 16", so... let's just move onwards, so as not to give the Black Mages any ideas.)
I think it was FF3 that introduced the "Fire", "Fira", "Firaga", "Firaja", etc. naming scheme, but I might be wrong on this.
*waves RANDOM TRIVIA! sign around*
This, iirc, since 4 characters was sufficient on the JPN side, until the implementation of the 4th rank of spell (though the ending 'ja' can sometimes be considered a single character, since it's just a variant of 'ji'):This would make the Puppets' Bunker trash mobs so much less aggravating...

ファイア、ファイラ、ファイガ、ファイジャ
ブリザド、ブリザラ、ブリザガ、ブリザジャ
Though, technically those would sound out as "Faira" "Faiga" "Faija" in themselves, which would sound awkward to us (Figa, Fija), so there's a degree of change in either case.

I want a way to transfer untradable items between alts, even if it has to be severely throttled to stop it from being an RMT issue.
Maybe have a special shop where you can drop off an item and then your other character can pick it up.

Most people do not just dislike open world pvp...THEY LOATHE itNot sure why certain people are so quick to assume that somehow if a new feature is added it will somehow be reverted to an early 90s barebone version of that feature, instead of including with it the improvements and surrounding features and constraints that have been found preferable in similar MMOs over the last 20 years.

Your naievete is amusing.Cool. Continue not to do it while the few who do opt into it?
You're the one purposely ignoring that forced World PvP games literally stand as their own genre. When included within any other kind of MMO, they are limited to opt-in forms of some kind, be that by server choice, channel/shard choice, or through discrete additional zones.
