If the game is f2p I don't care what they put, it's "free" so the purchases can be as expensive as they want, since it's "optional".
Keyword being "optional", because that's what people kept repeating to me ad nauseam whenever I complained, and I will say the same to the others. If it's optional it's fine right? Then it's fine if it's also expensive, isn't it?

You say 12 dollars /9 euros is a steal, but you forget the 180 dollars/156 euros for the annual subscription you pay. I guess people forget that this isn't a b2p game that you buy once and forget about it, you actively pay a subscription. And it even gets more expensive if you purchase retainers - which is a scam but that's another topic entirely and I refuse to go further

Mog store is still optional now...is it not? I can't think of any items on there (apart from possibly fantasia for the non alt players that like to swap appearance a lot) that is a requirement for purchase. You could just pay your sub and ignore the cash shop.

Maybe it's just a few people thing, but When I don't care about something, I just won't offer my 2 cents on the subject because -drum roll- I don't care.
If you do feel so strongly towards not caring about optional stuff and want things to be more expensive because you don't care, then why not make abunch of alts and buy them all mog station things- it's optional AND expensive! so a win/win

Real talk: If NPC items were going to be more expensive, I'd expect better quality of said item than having 1 undyeable piece and no NPC hairstyle

I think they're just expressing distaste for the triple-dipping (buying expansion + subscription + the store).

That's fair. Personally I think we should do away with buying expansions and just bundle that into the subscription model (outside of maybe paying a small fee for the option to have early access).

Or maybe go the ESO route where you can play for free but have to purchase expansions or an optional sub to have everything available to you content wise.
