Yes, I can. I think it would be pretty tragic if in-game items we pay a subscription for were inferior to the cash shop items that are meant to milk extra money out of the player base. Luckily that's not the case. I'm surprised that people want the best items to be locked behind microtransactions.

Both cash shop items and in-game items should be of high(er) quality. I hold the unpopular opinion that I like cash shop cosmetics, within reason. It's a sorry state when cash shop cosmetics are put out and are of lesser quality. At least other game devs put in the work to try and sell things.

sad and embarrassing that modders are doing a better job porting a REAL MONEY outfit than in-house devs. Skintone locked... just wtf! Nothing short of cash grabby and lazy.

I've looked the other way on a lot of cash shop stuff recently but this is too much honestly. Sad thing is it will probably just be swept under the rug unless jp makes a big stink about it (doubtful).

Well, my feelings are if I have to pay for something then it better be equal or better in quality to the best looking gear in the game. I'm not sure why that's surprising.

Anyone who buys something from the cash shop is in fact paying for the item twice, the sub fee and the cost of the item, and that's a problem. By putting glamor gear in the cash shop, S.E. has placed themselves in a no-win situation.

If they do offer the best looking gear solely through the cash shop, it'll turn FFXIV into a pay to win game with fashion at stake rather gear levels and stats.

Yet, if S.E. offers glam gear in the cash shop which is inferior in quality to the gear in the game, then people wouldn't want to buy it; or worse, they will feel ripped off when they discover they could have gotten better versions of the same gear without paying the extra money.

If I had my way, there would be no gear or fashion accessories in the cash shop. All glamor gear would be available in game whether by side quests, drops, or from vendors who accept the different currencies in FFXIV. But, I'm not in charge.

The fishnet stockings don't even change to match your skintone if it's not the same as Gaia's. Also you can get a free lookalike of the chest piece for casters and healers by doing the third tier of the Eden Raid. The savage version is even dyable! No stiletto boots nor fishnet stockings, BUT the tophat that comes with the set is really cute if you can wear hats.

Didn't they fix a similar issue with the mesh boob panel on the 2B dress, or was it never properly fixed either?

I think they fixed all the yorha sets after people complained

They fixed the 2B and Type-51 sets, then proceeded to make the same mistake on the following raid sets. They do show the character's skin colour but the overlying stockings have a brown tinge, apparently trying to emulate the colour of it being really sheer over peach-coloured skin, but the effect fails on other skin colours.

The Type-53 mage shorts colour the stockings when dyed, so that can get rid of the brown default, but the Type-55 tank stockings and dress cut-outs are permanently brown. It looks pretty bad on my green Roegadyn.

I wouldn't call it a top hat – it's a bit too floppy – and while it's cute, I feel like it doesn't match the set (or Gaia). I would have loved to get a mask like the tank gear, or some kind of unique flower hairpin or circlet.

It seems to be a style that the designer liked at that point, because the Exarchic caster set (released in the same patch) gets a similar hat.

Though I disagree with it, I could understand their argument for keeping it undyable to keep it looking like a proper cosplay set.

What is not ok is it being a single piece, gender locked, and the stockings look like they have pale skin beneath them, which is very noticeable on dark skinned characters.

And they're asking for money for it. At bare minimum it should be refitted for all characters to wear, including male. Yeah, it would be a little bit of work. Do it. You're asking for money for it - do the work, Square. Sending mixed signals about your stance on inclusivity is getting tiresome.
