Its almost 2023 and i still cant play with my friend

Can somebody explain to me why i cant duo queue ranked in CC? Me and my buddy were so hyped for the pvp rework, and when it came out we found out we cant play together, like why? Our massive hype was immediately replaced with massive disappointment.

We were forced to queue at the same time hopping we end up in the same game and if we do, most of the time we end up against each other. It feels horrible.
In every modern game pvp game ever i can atleast get one friend to play with me in ranked team based scenarios. Why not here?

This is an online game and i cant play with my friend even in casual match, its stupid.
If bevs are realy that afraid of people actualy coordinating, maybe they should not let most LBs one shot people.

It's almost 2023 and the way patch cycles and feature implementation works heavily relies on major patch releases (i.e. every 4 months). Granted, this is a highly sought-after feature at least from as much as I can tell in the western playerbase, but finalising the decision to implement it at a specific major patch (or at least Season relevant sub patch) is key here.

Giving benefit of the doubt - a mere duo queue of skilled individuals could absolutely wreck Casual queues, which is why I understand the hesitation from the developers' and Yoshida's side. On the other hand, if the worry is Casual games getting wrecked by higher skilled individuals, maybe they should consider actual incentivisation of their Ranked mode so Casual can remain casual.

Anyhow - yes pls, a dynamic solo-to-duo queue system taking from both pools would be great. Trio is a bit much however.

I honestly understand their reluctance in doing so for ranked because that's already a pretty chunky advantage you'd get, but I do agree with you that it would probably boost ranked popularity a little, perhaps?

I think this option should have been there from the start in casual mode though, or at least for series 2. The argument that it turns into seal clubbing pretty fast doesn't hold since it happens all the time between all the first timers and the pvp vets that show up into it anyway.

None of my Casual friends have touched CC soon after it came out because they can't play with each other. They see it more stressful to queue solo and facing solo players as opposed to going together and potentially facing higher skilled stacks.

yeah Im sure it would work wonders to revitalize CC again at least for a while until another issue pops up

Bear in mind that the enemy can also have one or two duos themselfs. If they are skilled or not solely depends on the match making.

CC would probably be a bit more attractive if they allowed duo queues at the very least. They just needed to test it in casuals and make changes based off of feedback. Despite feast casuals being dead outside of things being organized they allowed duo queue. I dont understand the reasoning behind making everything solo q for casual mode.

Because this game is becoming less and less of an MMO and more of a single player experience with some Second Life social stuff mixed in. I, the TRUE Warrior of Light could not possibly lose to a DUO..........................

I do think that players should have the right to go in duo queue in casual. Does it make it a bit imbalanced and give you a bigger advantage. Yeah. But it's just casuals. As long as it's not in ranked, duo is fine.

The issue with a premade duo is that it takes two god tier players to carry the other three clowns in their team, because if they do voice communication as well, it's easy to sync up their abilities at the same time to turn the tide for the team. It's way too strong and very easy to steamroll people in casual mode.

That issue people will complain about the duo premade groups.
