    Housing district level requirements?

Isn't it about time these get removed? I'm sure you can make it so anyone who isn't the right level or far enough along in the MSQ can't exit to the host city, such as Kugane or Ishgard. But keeping them from entering the housing district just doesn't make sense.

It makes plenty of sense because they are tied behind the MSQ.

Seeing how my level 19 alt can teleport to the FC-house in Shirogane just fine, I'm not sure what you're talking about or what the issue is?

They want to buy a house before actually doing the work in that district.

What work? To get into each district you talk to someone, and that's it. Putting a level requirement on it is arbitrary at best.

It's not the level requirement that's at work. It's the story requirement.

It makes no sense to be able to purchase in Shirogane when it's intended to be a residential district for foreigners who frequently visit or do business in Kugane and the player has never been there.

Likewise, Empyreum was only built for adventurers because it was an adventurer who helped to end the Dragonsong War. Within the low level player's MSQ timeline, that event has yet to happen and so technically Empyreum doesn't even exist yet.

That a player is allowed to visit the house of their FC or a friend in either District despite lack of MSQ progression is QoL for the social aspect of the game but it doesn't mean they should be able to buy there until they reach the appropriate point in the story.

No one is stopping you from going to the districts to visit if you got a friend there. You've simplified something just to justify your wants.

How are you supposed to talk to the npc that gives you the housing quest if you haven't gotten far enough in the story to visit Ishgard or Kugane? By either doing the quests to get there or buy a story skip.

There should be more barriers to buy a personal house, not less. I hope the next district requires level 90 MSQ progression. Alts need not apply.

I don't agree that there should be more barriers. Someone who has met the current requirements and has the gil should be allowed to purchase a personal house. Part of what makes this game so enjoyable is that there is no pressure to reach level cap. Let's not mess with that (Island Sanctuary is already bad enough as content that has nothing to do with level cap and yet is gated by it).

What I think needs to happen is:
    1) SE needs to stay on top of supply going forward so everyone can get a personal house if they want one. No more needing to resort to shell FCs or RMT.

    2) If they can't increase supply enough for every character to have a house, then they need to solve the alt tenancy issue as soon as possible. This should work for off world alts as much as same world.

    3) SE needs to revise the quests that unlock the housing districts in the first place.

Players can already get into Mist, Goblet and Lavender Beds through the adjacent questing zones even without doing the quest so using the quests to unlock Aetheryte access to the residential districts is somewhat silly. Add the Aetheryte access at the same time the player gets Aetheryte access to the questing zones adjacent to the city.

Move the quest to level 50 when the player is eligible to start purchasing housing and give better information about how to purchase, restrictions and demolition. That way they aren't going to be forgetting details that were irrelevant to a level 5-10 character.

I also agree with Nepentha that players should not be able to enter for a FC house until they have met the same requirements for purchasing a personal house (level 50, 2nd Lt in their GC). It won't stop RMT but it will be one more annoying obstacle that RMT will have to deal with that isn't really disruptive to legitimate FCs.

==============I would add that they need to get rid of shell FCs entirely.

    2) If they can't increase supply enough for every character to have a house, then they need to solve the alt tenancy issue as soon as possible. This should work for off world alts as much as same world.
==============All characters on the same account should be permitted to use the house; SE already has this "tag" somewhat in place

=================Agreed there should be a level 50 requirement which is technically already the case for Emp/Kugane as you cannot do that MSQ quest till your around that level - requiring you be power leveled in about 1-2 days to 50th level would be too low a requirement I think.

=================I would also like them to actually require a FC composed of characters not on the same account.
