    Party Finder QoL idea

It's harder to recruit people for treasure maps due to those being in the World category of the PF, not shown to people datacenter-wide.

Since we have World Visit now, it's not really necessary for the World tab to exist on Party Finder any more.

My suggestion is for PF to be a cross-world feature for all types of content. Just display the home world of the person who is recruiting party members when it comes to treasure maps and Fates, so that joiners know which world to travel to.

But maps, fates and hunts happen on a specific world, whereas duties do not.

There is a massive difference between a cross-world party and a normal party.

A normal party can share loot and enmity, whereas a crossworld party is as if each person in it is solo. Sharing loot and enmity is important when doing maps or fighting hunts and fates where the enmity affects the rewards.

So if they made hunt parties cross-world, most people would only get 1-24 Sacks of Nuts from hunts instead of 40 or 100. You wouldn't be able to roll on loot for maps.

It would be convenient if these parties could be advertised across worlds, but still remain same-world parties and still require them to switch worlds before joining.

In other news, there is no technical debt from 1.0.
"We don't have ... a technological issue that was carried over from 1.0, because ARR was meant to kind of discard what we had from 1.0 and rebuild it from the engine."

Yes this is what I meant. Fix them not being advertised across all worlds. You still need all players to travel to the same world, and they should still function like a same world party with full rewards. If that isn't possible, that's what should be fixed.

Need is a strong word. You don't even need a full party to run these if people have decent gear. I can't imagine it's hard to fill a party right now.

Having a same world party being advertised on a cross-world basis would be confusing to newer people. What you're asking for would require a change in how the parties function and that's just not going to happen. If you're really into maps, there's probably a discord or CWLS for it.

I said "need to be on the same world" because two or more people can't do a map together if they aren't currently on the same world. The sentence wasn't about difficulty of map enemies. Yes you could duo the whole thing but most people prefer to get through them faster and have a large number of maps contributed by many players, run them in sequence like a train. The way I imagine people replying on the forum is a lot different than reality lol. Surely these people can't find a way to disagree with this suggestion, I thought.

Maybe it's just my world but map PFs are usually slow to find people and are sometimes cancelled before anyone joins; that makes maps looks like dead content. Not so much right now because it's a new patch, but further out yes it slows down. The main reason for the suggestion is to improve participation in treasure map content. It would be very helpful if any recruitment drive was visible on all worlds instead of a single world. I think it's better for the game to not have a world-only tab in the PF, instead make all advertisements cross-world and make people literate in using world travel.

Yeah I have that and participated a lot personally. When I bother making suggestions on the forum it's just because I think something will improve the game in general for everyone, for attention of the devs / community team.

I get where you're coming from with this idea, but this isn't some kind of easy fix to mess around with PF's function.

Maps are casual and somewhat niche. There's so much more going on at the start of a patch cycle and plenty of reasons for people not to do them. People that have done their share might have to be in the mood for it, especially if they're going to PF and dealing with random people running off with a bunch of loot from someone else's run. I would generally prefer to do it with friends I can trust not to be greedy.
