    Colored Dots and Other Visual Issues

    I'm not sure exactly when this started happening but for some time now I keep getting large colored dots and black squares flashing on my screen while playing. I notice it gets worse in areas with lots of small particles like snow flakes. I've tried updating my drivers and changing different display and graphics settings in-game and with Nvidia's software.

    Here are some details of my PC, I don't know how to get the more detailed info people usually post:
    Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-8700 CPU @ 3.20GHz 3.19 GHz
    Installed RAM 16.0 GB (15.8 GB usable)
    System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor
    GPU NVidia RTX 2080

    In the first instance I would say graphics drivers, but you've already done that. Next step I would try is re-seating your graphics card - maybe give the fans/vents/ports a bit of clean at same time.

    If that doesn't work it may be a fault on the card itself - I had similar issues with a Radeon card a few years back and it turned out it had bad memory chips on it that failed only a few months after I got it.
