Piety is such a useless stat these days...at least to me it seems that way. Between all the abilities to regain MP, freecast, or no MP healing we can do...I feel like the only things taking MP are Glare/Holy spamming. Lucid Dreaming has that covered.

while I personally prefer PIE, I would -really- enjoy not having DET shoved down my throat on every healer gear almost.

I suppose PIE does give some consistency with getting you somewhat more MP... But the least MP efficient healer feels to be SGE, and even with it MP is not really that big of an issue... Spell Speed or Crit would definitely be more useful.

DET is one of those stats where you really can't go too wrong with getting more of it, as it just makes you do more damage and healing.

SGE will cry in MP if their party is stellar perfect in mech execution because there's probably nothing to spend their addergalls on outside throwing a Druochole at their tank even there's no need to, just to get that 700 MP.

SE has put BiS stats on extreme weapons since at least Heavensward. Except healers apparently. Maybe they think healers value Piety.

The absolute state of sub-stats in 14... I hate it so much. I remember back in Wrath of the Lich King, I wanted ALL of the spirit on resto druid (spirit = piety pretty much) so I can spam my HoTs all day erry day. 14 it's all about crit and DH... it's so boring, even if those giant SGE/SCH crit shields give me the good brain juices. I just wish the vast majority of cases weren't "you want crit and DH".

Max spellspeed BLM is a fun meme though, I will say that much. Single handedly saved the job for me, went from one of my most hated to jobs to "HAHA FIRE 4 GO BRRRRRRRRRR" fun (2.09 fire 4s feels REALLY nice).

I imagine they do it to get you into savage. They do the same with NIN where half my tome scouting gear has sks, which while not completely useless, is our lowest priority stat. Same with RDM having to do savage to get gear that doesn't have sps.
