It NEEDS to be easier to play Mahjong with friends!

Me and my friend have started learning Mahjong but have realized that there's virtually no way for us to play together.

The only way to play together is to have a full four party match at the ready which is just unrealistic. I don't understand why we can party up together and then challenge the AI or party up and challenge other people in free play.

Playing together would make it a lot more fun but with the current state that just isn't possible because we don't know anyone else who wants to play mahjong.

This seems like a really simple feature that should be an option from the start with all the other mahjong modes you can play in.

It feels like something they could easily add in so maybe they'll notice it and add in the near future otherwise I'm just gonna lose interest not being able to play with friends.

If your playing with friends, would any of you be playing different then if you were playing against strangers?

Going harder on your friends?
Tossing them pieces they need?

Playing in any way different then against a perfect stranger?

Maybe you wouldn't, but there are those folks who would. If even a few people would take advantage of this, they can't let it happen.

Can't have the experiance of a random player influanced by having two people who ruin the game by playing against eachother and ignoring everything else.

They have to think about things like that, and worry about things like that, and stop them from happening, even if it's a stretch that it would ever happen.

That's why PVP is so strange as well.

That only matters with ranked though?? I only mentioned AI and unranked.

I am aware of the potential downsides but I think that would be a pretty small minority that would want to rig unranked games.

Even if they didn't let you play with your friends against other people, fine, but it's ridiculous I can't even play with my friends against AI.

Do you think people playing unranked want to end up in a room with 3 people teaming up to make one of them win as big as possible?

Just because it's unranked isn't an excuse for it to be allowed to become not fun.

If you thought ranking had anything to do with it, you didn't understand what I said.

Necroing the hell out of this... I just want to quick play with bots for friends/party. Why is this so hard?

Also when are we getting this as a housing item for local play and spectating?
