    Do you think frontline needs its own rules?

    I certainly do. I've been thinking about this for somet time, and way the current pvp works makes much more sense in 4v4, where being able to lock key targets down is important. Even tho I am never a fan of stun stacking, or loss of character control in general, it makes a degree of sense.

    But in frontline there are just way too many people. You're being as cautious as you can, and suddenly you get stunlocked to death with no way of stopping it. Yeah there is purify but its not gonna help when you get focused by a bunch of people. In short, that just isn't fun. I think that frontline skills need to work different from crystalline conflict skills, in ways that does not encourage stacking stuns. Tbh, at this point, I'd rather have the old pvp system back for frontline and the new for crystalline conflict until improvements have been made in both field. But more than anything, my personal takeaway from this is that fighting 4v4 and platoon vs platoon just isn't the same thing and can't be treated as such if you want good pvp.

    If more than four people hit you, you are supposed to explode and die near instantly. That's how a healthy PvP game balance works. Simple math, really.

    Nothing like 6 people hitting a ninja for a full minute and barely making a dent in their health, only for them to automatically escape because ninja.

    Or accidentally clipping a SAM you didn't notice with an AoE and instantly dying for it.

    FL has absolutely massive issues, and tbh most of it boils down to 3 factors imo:

    - CC is way too rampant, and needs diminishing returns in there.

    - 60% DR for all melee is a sloppy fix, they should apply different values based on individual jobs, and not just melee. DNC gets zero DR and is more of a melee job than NIN is.

    - instant kill LBs do not belong in PvP imo, in any mode. Getting an instant death sentence and losing your battle high because of accidental clipping or daring to go below 50% health invariably makes it feel like your death wasn't earned by the opponent.

    FL is 72 players. It cannot and will never be balanced. Just accept this fact that FL is casual chaos and you might have fun with the mode.

    It's not about balance. It's about the game being playable. You talk about fun when people keep telling you that perma-cc and oneshot mechanics are the epitome of anti-fun.

    And yet I end every FL match with only 1 or 2 deaths, sometimes no deaths. "Perma stun" is only an issue when you're getting dived by a zerg group and that is 100% of the time your fault.

    Usually no, but on occasion I do, depends on the mood. FL is a joke mode so I don't really take it all that seriously. I'm just there for the EXP and getting as many kills as possible.
