Steps:
1. Open portrait list from character menu
2. Use "Apply to Adventurer Plate" feature on the portrait for my current gear set
3. System returns error "Adventurer plate could not be updated due to unfulfilled requirements. (29) Current gear data does not match gear data being applied to the adventurer plate. Please try updating or re-equipping your gear set."
4. Confirmed that I was wearing the same gear set as the portrait I was trying to apply (#3 Astrologian 610) and that the gear set was updated.
5. Changed to a different gear set (#1 Scholar 98) and tried to apply the portrait for that gear set. Got the same error.
6. Changed back to AST gear set. Re-applied the glamour plate that I was using. Tried to apply AST portrait. Same error.

*Add more steps if necessary

I actually went into some fairly in-depth troubleshooting out of curiosity. I hope it can be of some use, but even if not, I had fun trying to figure it out!

- Changed AST gear set (removed hat) and updated gear set. Edited AST portrait to reflect gear set change and saved portrait. Tried to apply portrait. Same error.
- Logged out of the game and back in on the same character. Tried to apply AST portrait. Same error.
- Deleted AST gear set from gear set list. Re-created AST gear set. Tried to apply AST portrait. Same error.
- Logged out of the game and logged in with a different character (Emcapi Ardwin, Faerie) who had not undergone a world transfer. Applying her portrait to her adventurer plate worked without any errors.
- Logged back in with original character (Kodhi'ra Emcapi, Faerie). World travel to original world server before transfer (Siren) and attempt to apply AST portrait again. Same error.
- Returned to Faerie. Tried to apply AST portrait again. Same error.
- Changed to a different gear set. (#2 Summoner 78) This gear set did not have glamours applied to any of the items. Tried to apply SMN portrait. This worked successfully.
- Changed back to AST gear set and tried to apply AST portrait. Same error as before.
- Used "Dispel Glamour" option from the glamour plate selection menu on AST gear set. Updated gear set after dispelling all glamours. Edited AST portrait so that it updated with the appearance changes. Tried to apply portrait to adventurer plate. Same error.
- After that, tried changing to a different gearset, then back to AST gearset. Tried to apply AST portrait. Same error as before.
- Tried changing to SCH gearset, which also used glamours. Dispelled glamours, updated gear set, and edited SCH portrait. Tried to apply SCH portrait to adventurer plate. Same error.
- Deleted and re-created SCH gear set, now with no glamoured gear. Tried to apply portrait. Same error.
- Deleted SCH gear set. Logged off and back in. Re-created SCH gear set. Tried to apply portrait. Same error.
- Renamed SCH gear set. Tried to apply portrait. Same error.
- Exited game. Deleted "GEARSET.DAT" file. Logged back in and confirmed that all gearsets had been deleted. Re-created AST gearset and tried to apply portrait. Same error.
- Re-created SMN gearset and tried to apply portrait (this is the same one which had not had any glamours applied before world transfer, and which previously worked). This worked.
- Tried applying glamour plate to SMN gear set. Updated gear set. Edited SMN portrait and saved it. Tried applying portrait to adventurer plate. This worked.
- Created a new AST gear set and renamed it "Test Set 1". I equipped a weapon which had a glamour prior to the world transfer, but was not part of a gear set. I unequipped all other gear. Tried to apply portrait. This worked.
- On the test set, equipped the weapon which had a glamour applied and was in the original AST gear set prior to the world transfer. (Note: item had glamour dispelled and re-applied in the process of previous testing.) This had the same glamour as the previous weapon - portrait did not prompt me to edit it, but I edited and saved anyways. Tried to apply portrait. This worked.
- Tried various combinations of gear with the same procedure as before (equip gear, update gear set, edit and save portrait, apply to adventurer plate). All of this is the same gear from the original AST set The only items using a glamour in the original AST set were the weapon, body, hands, legs, and feet; the hat and all jewelry was unglamoured. Results below.

- Tried changing Astrologian set to only include a known working combination of gear (weapon, body, gloves, pants, and shoes). Tried updating portrait. This worked.
- Tried editing glamour plate to include "Emperor's New" items in the slots which seemed to be triggering errors (hat, all jewelry/accessories). Equipped all items and applied glamour. Updated portrait. This worked.
- Used "Dispel Glamour" function. Tried to update portrait. Got the same error.
