Thread: Why is FFXIV using 40 GB of RAM?

Granted, I'm not playing that long but never had this issue before yesterday.

I'm very sorry to hear that you've been experiencing this kind of issue. Has this been a long on-going issue, or has it just been occurring recently? Do you experience any crashes or get any error messages as well?
I'd also like to confirm if you're still experiencing this high ram usage after the release of the recent 6.3 Hotfixes from the recent emergency maintenance that recently concluded.

Should the issue still persist, could you please provide us with a System Report? You can locate your System Report within the FINAL FANTASY XIV launcher. Once there, click on the 'Config' option (with a gear symbol). To the right of 'System Information' click on 'Display' and it will then provide you with a System Report for your device then you may copy all that information and include it in your response here on the forums.
