    Launcher issues after 6.3 release.

The evening that 6.3 released on was I unable to login, because of the following issue:

Unable to complete version update. [30426][19900][2]

When I tried to use the "Restore Game Data" option in the launcher did another issue appear:

Unable to update patch files. [11006][20815][20866][19900][5]
    D:/Steam/steamapps/common/FINAL FANTASY XIV Online/game/ffxiv_dx11.exe

I uninstalled and reinstalled the game once it appeared which solved the issue at first. But yesterday evening did it appear again and I don't want to wait 2,5 hours every few days to play the game.

Does anyone here know how to fix this issue? I'm not too experienced with things like this, so won't be able to understand all the terms when it comes to fixing it.

    Greetings Lionclaw07,

I'm very sorry to hear that you've been experiencing update issues. Based on the error provided it appears to be interference with the game data that's occurring. Are you running any additional programs while playing the game? I would recommend performing a clean boot by opening your Task Manager, navigating to the 'Start Up' tab, and disabling all applications listed there. Once done, restart the PC and attempt to run the game again. This will minimize the chances of another program potentially conflicting with the FFXIV client. I'd also like to suggest double checking that the anti-virus and firewall have the appropriate exceptions made for FINAL FANTASY XIV. Below are some other troubleshooting steps that you can try, as they may help with the Version Update/Patch Files issue:

    - Disable any overlays, mods, injectors, or customer configurations made using driver-level programs (Nvidia Control Panel, Radeon Crimson, Steam Overlay, etc.)
    - Delete the Patch Folder: Navigate to the folder using this path This PC > My Documents > My Games> Final Fantasy XIV - A Realm Reborn > Downloads > FFXIV patch then after deleting the folder please try to login through the launcher once more.

I do hope this information helps and thank you for visiting the FINAL FANTASY XIV Technical Support Forums.
