Kaitenless SAM

Hi everyone,
It has been 9 months since kaiten left. While the job is not dead dead, the feel is not there and Im still pressing the kaiten in my rotation (yeah it never leave the hotbar). I really want to know if there is other way to let the dev know how much we want kaiten back or its just copium at this point

funny day you choose to make this post but you're right Samurai isn't dead but without Kaiten you're spamming Shinten like a Bitch. In My Opinion Samurai is seriously Fun in PvP.
Samurai without Kaiten is just a Breathless Samurai and I really think that we have to into Game Developement ourselves and recreate the Kaiten Playstyle in an Single Player Offline environment.
That's the only effective way that I see to Bring Back Kaiten. Because let's face it Square Enix doesn't care to provide fun gameplay, Yoshida is hopefully just busy with FFXVI and hand waves the Combat Team into 2 minute burst windows and to delete DoTs, gg

but I'm glad that people still hold onto hope, because do that as well.

No, they don't care
JP SAM megathread that doubled in page count after Kaiten removal. 155+ Threads and 15+ youtube feedback videos from the western community. Collectively compiling all of it. Completely Ignored

Square's excuses and apologists have been debunked Endlessly and we cannot resurrect Kaiten. My personal assumption is that Square was lazy and Kaiten removal just is easier to handle. That's how much they value fun Gameplay. And they done this with plenty other jobs as well, way before we even knew it was our turn on the chopping block to then be Ignored.

So what now?
Be happy with what we have before more of it is lost. Players mocked our feedback and our fellow Samurai's who quit due to changes. Continue to Not mock other players who will potentially lose gameplay of the Jobs they love like we did. Have empathy/time/energy to spare? Share them your voice of support when a negative change happens to their Job. We know now how it feels to not be heard. It sucks.

The most important thing is to NEVER FORGET that Square/Yoshi/Dev's...

Sadly its likely not coming back, or at the very least not during this expansion. The fact that they even completely ignored the JP community and never even made mention or reasoning in any of the post live letters is really telling. At "best" we might see it returned in some reworked manner in the next expansion, but that is copium at this point. Until then, I'm enjoying black mage...even if I am terrible at it.

that's understandable and kinda hilarious, I mean I predicted an AoE Shoha for 6.0 and what did we saw in the 6.0 Benchmark? AoE Shoha.. but if Kaiten returns it may sunder the Samurai Player-base again.
Which me personally I do not care since I want Kenki to have more utility than to just spam Shinten like a Bitch.
While true with Kaiten the Samurai would be enjoyable, it would be ignorant to start the Songs of Zombie-like Praise again like nothing happened.

much prefer to play without kaiten, but you can replace your old kaiten keybind with shinten, since they cost practically the same amount of kenki

ehh not really with Kaiten we had to work with 20 Kenki to enhance weaponskills, shinten may cost just 5 more than Kaiten but the devil is in the detail.
now you sit on 20 Kenki with no meaningful option to spend it. If wanna replace Kaiten the Keybind, I'd say True North though I have a funny feeling that Positionals will bite the dust next.

Well, PLD got reworked and they gave it back Bulwark, which was supposedly loved by veterans. So I predict that in future, when they eventually remove Iaijutsus all together, they will bribe us by bringing Kaiten back. Please look forward to it.

I also still have kaiten on my bar.
First thing I did when I saw patch notes was to scroll down to see if there were any changes to the job. Nothing. I wasn't expecting much to begin with though.
At this point I just find myself caring less and less about the game. Samurai changes was just one of many things that have made me like the game less since this expansion.
