A complete reinstall actually fixed it for me. Although I also did a bunch of stuff at the same time (install drivers from my laptop's manufacturer, change the install directory)

I'm glad to hear that you fixed it! Sorry to be a pain, but how do you perform a complete reinstall? Mine's downloaded via Steam, by the way.
Don't worry, I have steam, tooI deinstalled it via steam first (right klick in steam an choose "uninstall"). Then I went into the steam folder and deleted the Final Fantasy 14 folder, just to be safe. Then I went into my Documents on Windows and into the "My Games" folder and deleted the Final Fantasy 14 folder there as well. Hope it works for you!
