FF14 crashes during Log-In with specific character

I've been experiencing this issue ever since I went from PS5 to PC: I start the game over Steam, get to the title screen no problem, can choose my character, I even get to the loading screen - and then it crashes, with no error message. My PC is not having any problems after the crash, I can start the game again almost immediately.
However, I can log in with a second character without any problems. My main character is in New Gridania, while the second character is in the outskirts of Limsa Lominsa if that makes any difference.
I already re-installed the launcher and the game, I reinstalled graphics drivers and the problem still persists. The PC is new and recently bought, Windows 11 has just been freshly installed.

Okay, it tried it on the Playstation and the game works without any problems. I could teleport my main char out of Gridania and then it worked on the PC. But as soon as I teleport back to Gridania, the game crashes instantly.

Edit: I tried teleporting my character to Limsa Lominsa and it crashes there too on the PC. For some reason, my PC instantly crashes in the hub cities

A complete reinstall actually fixed it for me. Although I also did a bunch of stuff at the same time (install drivers from my laptop's manufacturer, change the install directory)

I'm glad to hear that you fixed it! Sorry to be a pain, but how do you perform a complete reinstall? Mine's downloaded via Steam, by the way.

Don't worry, I have steam, too I deinstalled it via steam first (right klick in steam an choose "uninstall"). Then I went into the steam folder and deleted the Final Fantasy 14 folder, just to be safe. Then I went into my Documents on Windows and into the "My Games" folder and deleted the Final Fantasy 14 folder there as well. Hope it works for you!
