Just an idea; new "Clans" for each existing race

The funny thing is head lore guy Oda said a while back in an interview that there was another more "ancient" clan of Au Ra aside from the two we're familiar with, but they haven't so much suggested anything about such to date.

What some people seem to forget is that "mechanically" there are only 2 "clans" but lorewise there are quite a few. The Hyurs we see on the other continents aren't Midlanders or Highlanders. The Au Ra we see in Thavnair aren't Xaela or Raen. Roegadyn in Othard aren't Seawolf or Hellsguard. The best reference for this is a lore bit we got about Ishgard. The devs said that most of the Elezen are descended from Wildwood, but have become their own thing over time. So technically, you can be from any clan, not just the two mentioned.

I would kill for the badass female Au Ra from this concept art as a new clan, similar to how Hyurs can choose Midlander or Highlander.

I wouldn't mind a female Au'ra whose standing stance has them standing with both feet pointed straight... Maybe this female Au'ra could have that.

I honestly think those female Au Ra look freaking SICK!!!

Heck, maybe that's the way they could go for a new Au Ra clan; one where the woman are larger (maybe using the Female Roegadyn or upcoming Female Hrothgar rig, slightly more feminine animations), and giving the males the smaller body, like the male Viera rig but even smaller?

Like I said, absolutely not trying to suggest anything that would involve a crazy amount of work. *Some* work will be involved no matter what, but I feel like you could really get a lot of bang for your buck with things like these, kind of leveraging options we already have in various ways.

And you don't even have to use any of my specific ideas. I just think adding a new Clan for each race would drum up a lot of excitement, but I would *think* would be a whole lot less work than actual new races, which seem highly unlikely (and frankly, probably not necessary) at this point.

I would definitely dig a slightly thinner, more canine-looking version of the Hrothgar, though. Seems funny they went with another cat-like appearance for a race.

I'd love a more "bestial" au'ra clan. Would I ever play it? Probs not, I'd feel tied to specific kinds of glam. But I'd love *seeing* it and that's all that matters
