An Issue with door partitions

First, thank you for the alpine wall and door partitions!

My one issue - and this is with all door partitions is that there are no door partitions that you can add wallpaper to, and if you try to 'paint' them, it doesn't paint the wall part, it paints the middle part of the door. This ends up looking terrible. In this case, in the middle of my beautiful Eulmore red walls, there is this huge glaring off-white door partition. Could we get door partitions we can add wallpaper to? Or at least be able to dye the WALL not the middle of the door? Please? This looks horrible. Also I have noticed that the door partitions never quite match the wall partitions - the door partitions are always just a little bit lighter colored. The Alpine isn't quite as noticeable but the wooden ones like the glade partitions and door partitions the difference is very noticeable.

Yes...... I had forgotten door partitions work this way. I avoided using it simply because of this issue.
Dyes should be applied to the wall, not the door. It's common sense, SE.

At the current state, you still have to use + float the white rectangular partition to hide the undyeable portion of the partition -- which take up a few item slots. It's a shame.

I just went back to using the glade door partitions, at least a wooden panel doesn't look quite so wrong in the expanse of red.

I always assumed this was due to some engine limitation but it would definitely be nice if one day we could get a blank version we can apply wallpaper to.

Don't use Mahogany Doors with Riviera walls and then dim the lights. You'll cry.

Yeah, the sad thing about XIV housing is that getting a house isn't the only unpleasant experience. The decorating system is ridiculously bad as well because of awkward issues like this one and the heavy reliance on glitches just to move furnishings around. The whole housing system needs a serious revamp. :/

Agreed, this is why I just don't use door partitions at all.
I'd love to use them, but the shortsightedness in the design- the shortsightedness in the entire decorating system- is what keeps things so limited.

Story time: I submitted a very detailed 'bug' report on the round stained glass window (it's called the Imitation Stained Crystal Rounded) & how it did not have the same lighting on the stained glass windows that came before; & at night the window darkened instead of stayed glowing/ hazy. I still have screens to show the differences between all of the stained glass windows before. Now, the window glows at night & cast a reflection just like the other stained glass windows. So, you CAN make a difference just need to put in some effort to see the changes you want.

I've wanted a door partition that is dyeable or can have wallpaper placed onto it- Someone needs to take a thorough look at the housing items & work on revamping the entire decorating process from the UI to how items are placed, item limits, how they're dyed, separating lighting per floor as well as music... just everything.
