I rather not rexperience another 12 years of LoL and COD MW2 lobbies. The chat system FF14 has for CC is good for the most part but an unfiltered chat system will most definitely have far more latent consequences than positive.

I enjoy getting death threats and other crap talk in PvP. Makes the enemy losing more exciting and when they rage just type something like "why cry? Why rage why?" it will make them even more pissed.
FFXIV lacks all this fun
Quick chat is whatever to me. For the most part it has enough options to get the point across. My only real gripe is the lack of being able to play with friends.
Let us be real the majority of folks running pvp here are just there for exp/tokens and not the actual pvp (there are those that still just love to pvp.)
The way the pvp is setup if anybody was to laugh at another player getting crushed then they have some personal chips/issues themselves kupo <3
The skill curve for current pvp is very low so just enjoy I say kupo <3 and get some exp-gear and glam away kupo <3
Kupo!
The real let's be real. no one cares how good you are, they only care if you can cooperate to reach their goals.
at a certain point it isn't even about the glams or coin, or locked gear[which should come back or have timeless Series]
it's about you gaining your own personal achievement.
This is largely Ranked we are going on about.
if it was casual what you said would make full sense.
it does not, just like the people of this Year care not if you ranked 100 in one of the old feasts, and want the old gear to return.
