    Gamecrash in the Ruby sea

    Greetings,
I have been playing for a good while now ( 6 months roughly) and have reached the Ruby sea. Above water the Map works without so much as a hitch, Quests can be taken, NPC monsters slayn etc. As soon as i enter the Threshhold of the under water location "Tamamizu", either by Aetherite or manually on foot. The game displays the following Error message, before allowing me briefly to still walk the map and then shutting down.
    https://postimg.cc/Nyn51C5n

My attempts to resolve this issue so far have includet:
-Running the game without the recommendet Direct X 11 setting from the launcher
-Deleting the files locally and reinstalling the entire game
-Deleting the game completely from my Steam Library and reinstalling it again

off which none have yielded results. Since this Error hinders me from continuing the MsQ i would be very appreciative of any help or solutions.
Thank you for any help in advance

    Greetings Whoface,

Thanks for providing us with the error code that you are experiencing. Have there been any updates or changes made recently to the PC? Also, have you tried playing the game in different modes such as full screen, borderless, or windowed? If you haven't, I would recommend trying out these three modes and seeing if the error persists or occurs more frequently on one or the other.

Additionally, could you please provide us with a System Report? You can locate your System Report within the FINAL FANTASY XIV launcher. Once there, click on the 'Config' option (with a gear symbol). To the right of 'System Information' click on 'Display' and it will then provide you with a System Report for your device.

Thank you for visiting the FINAL FANTASY XIV Technical Support Forums!

    Thank you for replying,
Since play, ing, there have been no Hardware changes on my PC, there have been some windows updates , but none as far as i know that have made changes to the windows version. I have attempted to use all three display options. In all the Error occurs as soon as i step into the Threshhold of Tamamizu; As in , into the area that makes the game announce the name of the location; it opens the Error window, allowing me to move but not interact with anything. All of these options, by my estimate, have the same frequency of the error occuring there. clicking okay on the error crashes the Game to Desktop.

The Systemreport ill post here for review,

    Greetings Whoface,

Thank you for providing us with your system report! I would just like to ask if this was the full report that was generated? Also, are you running any additional programs while playing the game? I would recommend performing a clean boot by opening your Task Manager, navigating to the 'Start Up' tab, and disabling all applications listed there. Once done, restart the PC and attempt to run the game again. This will minimize the chances of another program potentially conflicting with the FFXIV client. Below are some other troubleshooting steps that you can try, as they may help with the crashes:

    - Ensure that any anti-virus programs on your PC have the appropriate exceptions made for FINAL FANTASY XIV.
    - Disable and overlays, mods, injectors, or customer configurations made using driver-level programs (Nvidia Control Panel, Radeon Crimson, Steam Overlay, etc.)
    - Update and reinstall the drivers for your graphics card and sound drivers.
    - It appears that the game is currently installed on your L: drive. If possible, I would recommend performing a clean reinstall on your primary storage drive, as having the game installed elsewhere can cause issues. I did notice the space for the primary C: drive is not an option, then I would suggest making sure the game and Steam are installed on same drive.

I hope these suggestions help! Thanks for visiting the FINAL FANTASY XIV Technical Support Forums.

Hello, i have found a way around the error.

I went into my Local files again and deleted certain ones. After deleting the entire second expansion folder and having the launcher re-download that particular one, the Underwater section is now accessible without problems or the error. The Red sea area and the MSQ are available to me again.
The exact path i took was to go into steam, open the Local files, select the "game" folder and then "Sq pack" the folder then displays 5 sub folders. In my case i deleted the "ex2" folder for the stormblood expansion.

I may be theorizing here but if similar issues appear in other expansions, subsequent or before Stormblood, a similar approach could be taken should Errors like this Happen.
    Thank you for your support
