I just got off the phone with Tech support who told me to post here. The Agent I spoke with was Justin.

Ticket number was [t1621532:bb0e] Cannot Log in, error 30002

I have to Justin's satisfaction literally exhausted everything Tech support can tell me to do.

I have tried to log on from both my laptop and desktop in South-Central Kentucky, Central Michigan, and had a friend of mine try to log in from Ontario Canada.

All attempts to log into this character result in Error 30002, while any other characters on the account can be logged into just fine.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the game, I have deleted the FFXIV User folder, I have called my cable company to look into things (as well as attempted in various locations)

I've tried forwarding the router ports as well:

UDP - 55296 - 55551
TCP - 54992 - 55551
UDP - 443

No success. I've also tried disabling anti-virus and firewalls. Nothing.

The agent I spoke with said he made some notes on my ticket, and said that the only thing I can do is make a post here and hope that an investigation on this problem is launched.

Tech support can't touch characters and GMs won't do anything unless a character is logged in, so he said the only solution is to ask on here for a back-end investigation.


The last time this character was successfully logged in was back in January before billing started. I let the account go inactive because I didn't have time to play at that point. I recently reactivated the account to play during the summer.
