If you're having Directx DC probs don't be a noob like me!

So I've always had issues with being booted from the game due to "Directx driver failed" while in the Black Shroud. Some days, like today, it has been so bad that I've gotten booted from the game about ten times (not exaggerating) trying to run from the Adventurer's Guild to the Conjurer's Guild. Well today somebody in my LS told me to check the driver version for my graphics card on my laptop and come to find out I was running on version 186 and the most up to date version was 301 O.o I updated it and restarted the game...now I have zero problems with this! Not only did it fix my DC issues but I also can now run the game on standard settings across the board with all options turned on (shadows, dust, ect.) with little to no UI lag where before on these settings I would have about a .5 second delay on my mouse and constant lag followed by many DC's.

So to all my fellow computer noobs, if you are having any type of problems with Directx DC make sure your drivers are up to date! Don't be like me and suffer 2 years of unnecessary hair pulling and keyboard slamming due to a complete and utter lack of computer competence ^^

What's the best way to update ALL of your drivers? Control panel--> Device Manager?

I just had to go to my graphics card's mfg website for it... in my case it was Nvidia.com. They scanned my drivers for me and it took me straight to the download link. Hope that helps... as I stated earlier I am a noob at computer stuff so if yours is any different I'm of no help ; ;

EDIT: Oh you said "ALL" drivers... I have no clue.

device manager is probably the easiest place to go from there you can either install your new drivers once u have downloaded them to the specific piece of hardware that needs it or you can try to have microsoft automatically scan it and see if it can find a newer driver version for it online, it actually works.................sometimes lol

What's the best way to update ALL of your drivers? Control panel--> Device Manager?

There's a program called "Game booster" it is absolutly amazing with those who play with laptops, or not so powerful desktops. One of the features, outside of closing unneccessary backround processes and freeing up cpu cycles and memeory, is scanning your current hardware and seeing if new drivers are available.

Once you install, click the top button for tool and select drivers, and let it scan your system. I hope this helps!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
