Adventure Portraits for Groups - Broken?

After making sure that all of my plates are set and working properly, every time I go into a dungeon, trial or raid, my plate keeps getting reset to default. Is the system broken or is something else going on? I keep getting a message saying its reverted me to the default portrait. My character animation is just my character in my AF gear with a smile, nothing bad. All the groups I have been in have had everybody in default poses as well.

Anybody else having these issues?

Edit: Error Message: Instant portrait reverted to default. Current appearance and/or gear does not match that shown in portrait.

seems to be something with updating the portrait itself.., also with showing actual gear.
it's ridiculous.
just go into the portrait of said class, edit, then save(no need to adjust things)
should work if that's all you did..,

I'll have to see how that works. It'd be a shame if this was broken already, though given what we've seen in the past it wouldn't surprise me much.

If you set adventurer plate portrait, you can import settings to any gear portrait with one click, which is a quick way to update it. There is also 'reflect gear' button. But yes, any change in glamour or gear will require portrait to be updated in some way to actually continue working. Unless portrait reflects 'current gear' it is not viable.

I already went back and resaved all the pictures to clear the error messages, but I still get reverted to the default ID card look. Still bugged, at least for me.

Hopefully they fix it soon..,
Beta was ironically its right out of the box state.., I didn't bother messing with it during full release til I can get my OG plate.

Who cares even if you couldn't see people's face.., buy either ways

It seems the portrait tied to a gearset has to be exactly the way you look at the time you enter instances? You can't even have the helm hidden in the portrait but show it while in the instance.

I hope they at least put in an option to just automatically reflect the gear (and glamour) we were wearing, but keep the backgrounds, angles, camera settings and decorations we set up. This is beyond a hassle and just plain bad UX.

it's like low level weapons not being able to be glamed with high level weapons..,

You can have an Advent Plate with different outfit, but apparently can't with the gearset.

Been having this issue too, even if I use the reflect gear button. Any way to turn this feature off?
