Then if the forums are bad, twitter is bad, and reddit is bad, I have no idea as to whose feedback is actually meant to be taken seriously. In an ideal setting, it would be the forums given that a certain level of civility is require in order to remain on here as opposed to the wild west style of these other sites. Unfortunately the official FFXIV twitter is more preoccupied with role playing as a Loporrit than curating feedback, along with the strict character limit making this a better site for articulating my thoughts. To be fair, I'm also sick of Y'shtola (I am in the "make the Scions take a backseat for new characters" camp). I'm just... not gonna make grand claims like I speak for others. @_@
I mean, reddit is fairly known for hive minding how great 14 is *in general*, to the point where it's hard to say anything negative about it on the main sub without getting lol downvoted into oblivion... but... it's also REDDIT. LOL. Such a cesspool of waste, just like twitter. I wouldn't take what reddit says as fact ever.
Spot on comparison. Except the Jailer at least was original and not ripped from another game. WoW's got us beat on that one.And now I realize the problem. Golbez is The Jailer.
"I am going to remake reality! Of the 13th!"
What does that mean?
"My plans are too far reaching for you to understand..."
Okay well we are gonna kill you.
"The Reflections divided will never survive...what is...to...come..."
What I want is content I can jump into and run daily with it not being the same monotonous grind each time like current roulette dungeons. This is why I enjoy stuff like Deep Dungeon and Bozja/Zadnor since it perfectly accomodates that desire. There should also be a reward attached (Kinna weapons!) or the many different ones we could get from the Bozja zones. And then I lost the latter to the flop that was Criterion and I lost Deep Dungeon to Allag and the insufferable crystal catboy.I thought in Deep Dungeon important is gameplay and arrange a kind of challenge solo to the last floor, rather than another instance, which you will abandon after a few hours for the sake of the weapon. There are plenty of weapons for all tastes, colors, and shapes. And if you do not like the story - skip and enjoy the dungeon. Be simple
PS. all that wanted is one 90 SMN? Long lvl up him?
My main character is not accessible to you or anyone else on the forums. Nor will it ever be. Trying to take shots at me over that is pointless.

Well hate to state the obvious but dont think you speak for the community as a whole. I get story wise some players just dont like the story or certain characters but though im not against them adding more characters in general for you as the player to interact with the twins and yshtola are high on my favs and will be really sad to see them gone completely. Honestly there will always be people not happy with how something was done.
They've been around for 10 years. If they go away forever I'm sure you'll find the strength to forge ahead. The writers have refused to give them new arcs and instead rely on quirky interactions or philosophical preaching whenever they take up screentime. You'll find new characters to get invested in. I promise.Well hate to state the obvious but dont think you speak for the community as a whole. Keeping them as they are and moving forward with them into 7.0 would be disastrous in terms of storytelling. I should like to think that decent stories worth listening to actually do something with their characters but that's not what we've been getting with the current writing of the Scions.
There's very little if any convincing arguments that I've seen over the past year that could justify dragging these characters forward into Season 2, and the more time passes the more I'm convinced people only want them around because they're comfort characters they're afraid to let go of. These sorts are not the ones the main story should be written around.

Why did the FFXIV subreddit hide the 6.3 patch megathread?... Was the patch received that poorly?
There is a consistent patch thread in Lore for these kinds of post.
Ok after posting this i saw your post there...

The people in charge of the main subreddit being heavy handed in their suppression of criticism is nothing new. Unfortunately the alternate spaces developed for less fettered discussion of the game such as xivdiscussion has had its purposed completely made useless given the discovery of individuals cross moderating between the different subreddits.
Hence why it’s best to speak about the game and leave feedback elsewhere - but the fact remains that even the bastions of unconditional love and positivity were shaken by the state of this patch’s story.

It's quite telling when there are articles like this being written unironically. Who is this game even for anymore? We went from an era of hype and speculation back in Shadowbringers to this? Why the unnecessary fixation on food of all things? Let alone trying to score meaningless points with the crowd who is so up in arms about representation at every corner while the most basic fantasy and character creation elements to this day remain largely absent from the game.
What a waste.
