FFXIV Boot Error: Unable to launch FINAL FANTASY XIV Updater. [11035]

I am getting this error when trying to launch the game from Steam. I have never had a log in issue on my laptop and about 4 weeks ago began getting this error. I have tried all the suggestions found online to no avail. Steam advises this is something that needs to be resolved by SquareEnix.

The FFXIV Boot looks like it loads completely and then just before launching the error appears.

I have uninstalled both the game, Steam; have disabled all virus and security, have checked the config files. Nothing seems to fix this.

My game works fine on my desktop.

Any suggestions on how to clear this up would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

UPDATE 12/20/2021: I had an IT/Gamer friend take a look at this and they were able to determine that Microsoft OneDrive had changed the mapping for the documents folder and therefore the game couldn't locate its files. He removed the OneDrive (with my blessing as I don't use it for personal stuff) and now it works fine. Hope this might assist some people who get this error.
