No reward is worth suffering through content you feel is bad. The worst thing the playerbase can do to itself is force-complete the content it hates. It leaves the false impression that despite complaints, players are generally satisfied with the content and it's okay to make more like it. If players stop working on the content even with rewards incomplete (like Pagos when it first came out), it will send a clear sign that changes need to be made.
Wow, great turn-around time. Much appreciated!based on the feedback we've received from players who prefer to use inverted camera controls for gameplay while maintaining normal camera controls in preview interfaces, we are currently looking into the possibility of implementing an option to designate different camera control settings for gameplay and preview interfaces in a future patch.
We appreciate your patience as we look into this matter and apologize for the inconvenience that may be caused by the present state of the Try On feature and other preview interfaces.

omg thank you! This fix was intended to correct the issue in which inverted camera controls were not correctly reflected in preview interfaces.

using fitting room right now feels like getting slapped and having a drink splashed in my face while simultaneously having a stroke.
but I will endure and "look forward to it"!
I would hope they could reverse the change quickly and then add an extra option later as the previous functionality is how I would assume the game has operated for nearly 10 years.
Hopefully the devs sort this out sooner rather than later. Its driving me crazy lol!
I agree. I'm not normally the one to be a debbie downer about things, and i do think the devs do amazing at keeping ffxiv a wonderful quality game. I also love QoL changes, but that doesn't mean they are immune to criticism, and if im being objectively honest, i think this is one of those "if it's not broke don't fix it" kind of things. If they want to change it after a decade all of a sudden fine, but give us heads up, and also it should be common sense that if you change something like this after players have had 10 years getting used to the way it already was then you should include a choice to turn it back in the settings.
I love the dev team, but objectively i think this was a pointless change and waste of dev time/resources and now players have to wait for a setting to turn it back. With that being said it's not a major issue or anything. It's more on the minor inconvenience end of things so i have no issues forgiving this and not having hard feelings about it. Just please get a patch out sooner rather than later to allow us to change it back if we want.

That's very strange they say it's a fix for something that was incorrect. The way it worked before Patch 6.3 had been completely unchanged since, I think, day one of the game itself, so can you really decide something like this is suddenly "incorrect" and that it should be "fixed?" I'm speaking hypothetically. It's their game, so of course they can. It's just frustrating to me, especially because this isn't their first game systems misstep this expansion (very poor new audio engine, poorly implemented netcode). However, everything ELSE about Endwalker has been extremely good and at least as good as Shadowbringers was to me at this same relative point in time.
Anyway, it's plenty good that they'll truly fix this in the future, even though I think it'll take until 6.4. At least it's relatively minor.

Patch 6.35 Notes:
The camera controls when accessing the character preview screen can now be adjusted separately from the standard camera controls.
* In accordance with this update, reversed axis settings applied to the standard camera controls will no longer affect the character preview screen.
YAY!!!!!

Wow...I didn't expect it that soon, if ever within this expansion. Well then, I apologize for and take back my harshness about this issue. I'm grateful they listened to feedback and made the right choice.
