It boggles my mind that people post so much personal information online. Basically everyone from my generation that grew up as the internet was just growing into what it has become today always had it drilled into them to never post identifying information online. People should go back to that.

Not everyone post there own information. I had my information posted against by knowledge on some website because I simply signed up for a new phone line. I had to go through a process to get it removed.It boggles my mind that people post so much personal information online. This is the thing here. 90% of the time your information is sold by one company to another for marketing BS, and you end up having to jump through many hoops, travel to the ends of the universe, and submit tons of forms just for them to THINK about removing your information.
Oh yeah, this right here. ^. Its dang near impossible to get your name off of anything. It's used so much that I don't think most people actually know what it means anymore, so they hop on the bandwagon despite not knowing why they are there at all. For the most part it is basically meant as "okay old person". You are correct with your definition, though I do think that covers the 60s as well.
Oh, that's an easy one. Are they older than you? They are a boomer. Are they younger than you? They are a zoomer. You now have the basics for internet arguments, go get em' slugger!
