Do people do treasure maps outside FCs?

I don’t think I have ever seen one, or maybe they pop up saturday/sunday evening and I didn’t pay attention ?

I’m currently in a solo FC since the last real one I had imploded due to drama and I wanted to do my own thing for a while.

I was wondering if players do that activity outside of FCs planning for it. I suspect they don’t (least on EU), but maybe someone can give me hints on where to look (discord server etc).

Recently I've joined some in PF on the light DC in the evening middle of the week.

Some for old level 60 maps, some for current highest maps and a group for whatever.

We didn't completely fill but had 4-7 player and that's enough to clear them.
Loot was "map owner needs, everyone else greeds".
Just open your own PF and try to find people.

They happen, just not that often lately. I expect there'll be a massive flurry of them though when the patch hits because we're getting the second arena and whatever new shinies that'll bring.

I don't see any in PF often. But when they do, it usually fills up rather quickly (under 20m or so), even faster if those specifically wrote "FFA loots" for everybody.

I do think people tend to reach out their FCmates first before going for PF.

Yes, if you keep an eye on Party Finder you will see one sometimes. But they only show to people on their world, so you could hop to other worlds and see if there are any up there, or make one yourself.

You only need 2 people to do most maps. I just do them with my partner on occasion. Nets you better rewards too when the loot isn't distributed between like 6 others.

I'll stuff my moogle mail with maps and host PF runs periodically, I'll do a ls call and shout in a few common zones. I normally fill up in under 10 minutes

• 8 people is severe overkill, don't go with more than 5 unless it's with friends. Each extra person is another cat to herd and person to loot against
• Go free-for-all loot -- owner-needs is annoying and leads to people quitting after their map
• I'll have a dozen or more maps, and we'll do mine primarily. Anyone with a map they want to use speaks up when we're in that zone
• After about 90 minutes most people start to get sick of it, try to keep runs under that
• I have macros for run/loot rules and final boss notes

They're adding new maps/zones in tonight's update, so people will be a lot more people doing them for the next couple months

Thats what I do. I've never done a treasure map with more than 2 people before.
