    why stop decorating?

I just redecorated my mansion kitchen and visited many houses and found out most people once they get done decorating they don't update their decorations. I believe in seeing fresh ideas that are better then what I have. One house I visited had a kitchen like I have never seen with, refrigerators, and cabinets I couldn't make out how it was put together. I did some research and found out what I needed to copy that unique style of kitchen. Today I am happy with the results and wish that others would not stop decorating their beloved places.

They're either probably satisfied with their work or can't be assed. For me personally, it's both.

If I'm happy with the way it looks and it isn't your typical (5 items slapped together to call it a day) it doesn't need to be updated every 5 days like I've seen some former friends do.

They're just addicted to it, may as well go ask people to do it for payment instead of sweating over your small/medium/large every other week and changing little things yadda yadda

For me, it's a mixture of really liking/being proud of my current house and not having the mental energy and/or strength to wrestle with the house decorating system as a whole, let alone glitches. Not to mention all the revising of plans because the system won't allow you to do something or doesn't support it at all, even with glitches. I always do a layout sketch before decorating my house/room and it just get's so annoying when the system doesn't want to play nice with me. .( ̵˃﹏˂̵ )

    Firstly, for me, it's time.
When I'm in the mood to decorate my house, I would spend all my (already limited) time in-game, across several consecutive days (or weeks) just doing that and nothing else. Especially so when working on custom made things that requires a lot of floating and glitching. Usually during my long holidays off from work. I'm the type of person who commits hard to a project until it's completely done.

Second, if I'm satisfied with what I made, why change it? I've already done my thorough research/housing tour before I commit to my housing project. So I normally don't have the need to make adjustments so often. I'm completely happy to look at my hardwork for a couple of years until there's a bundle of new housing items I'd like to play with.

Third, I'm still waiting for Highland partitions and pillars. *Rolls eyes at SE*

I haven't even decorated the insides, just made my yard to chill on and use the inside for quick access to vendors, bell etc.

I dont have time for redecorating too. I bought a plot last week and it took me three evenings to decorate it to a level where I was satisfied with it. I will probably change some details here and there but i will not start over again at all.

In darkness, in cold, in the midst of winter where nothing walks the world but death and fear let the brave rejoice: I call the light.
Out of darkness, light. Ouf of silence, song. Ouf of the sun´s death, the birth of each year. Out of cold, fire. Out of death, life. Out of fear, courage to see the day. (Elizabeth Moon - The Deed of Paksenarrion)

Yes I understand but what about when you finish a beast tribe or gather enough gemstones to see some amazing items you never knew existed? I'm trying to incorporate that into what I have. I do know that some people have someone else decorate their places and they won't change because of the high price they paid. Even one friend bemoaned the price he paid,,,,,,, makes it impossible to redecorate.

My problem is storage. I can't keep changing designs to do a different setup. It's bad enough when there's not room enough to store the couple of times I did change it around. Plus I have a large FC house too, that has completely run out of room in storage. My private FC room is full of stuff from changing it around year after year.

Decorating for me is a huge time sink and commitment. There are so many activities in the game, and allocating time towards decorating just depends on how far along I am with my in game goals combined with RL situations. I wanted to get back into finishing the decor for my FC, but had some health issues during 6.2 that set me back quite a bit. It's just kind of how it goes sometimes. I still never touched Island Sanctuary, Variant/Criterion dungeons, Manderville, and I still need to get my NIN to 90.

I also had plans to renovate my personal house. New furnishings or ideas can definitely trigger a desire to make some changes, but it can be difficult to tear something down you previously spent a lot of time on.

No Z axis (smoll indie companie, please understand), can't be assed spending months trying to float a candlestick again.
