I feel that no matter what designing a gameplay mechanic around something that directly touches to ergnoomics and usability, which is going to be different for literally everybody on the planet, is generally a slippery slope to begin with unless you add a serious amount of safeguards or redundancy, like in pve for example where sound cues or visual cues will complement debuff icons and various other info sources.

The fact that the DRG LB relies so much on "seen / not seen" explains the very reason this thread is so problematic. Some people think red is somehow more visible to them than blue (and maybe it is), some just have difficulties seeing the whole thing, etc etc.

I think that most seem to agree at least on one thing though, that identical abilities could at least benefit from an indicator for your own team on allies...
