Instant portrait gear not matching

Yeah, not gonna lie, tying portraits to gear sets was literally the worst decision ever, literally just treat it like the main one and have a reflect gear button, or just save the pose and nothing else.

The weird thing is it already can save just the pose, they just dont want to fully use it. If you change your fashion and then look at your portraits it already shows the updated fashion in the preview but it doesnt automatically update the portrait itself. Which makes no sense.

Gearset portraits are a great idea. They just need to make it so that when you save a gearset it also updates the portrait automatically without you having to /portraits, edit, save.

This probably is too unwieldy a solution and would need too much memory - but, the game could "snapshot" the first time we set our Portraits and ignore any gear changes made unless the player specifically goes into Edit mode to reflect the current gear. I think the developers wanted to create a system where the Portraits link to Jobs, and Gearsets are the most popular option among players to switch between them. The better solution would be of course something in the middle of the Beta (completely free-for-all) and the current iteration (rigidly tied to Gearsets).

Agreed, this is so annoying. Please stop the portrait from resetting every two seconds.

It needs to be less strict about the outfit matching. At very least, it could ignore jewellery, at most it could only object to you changing weapon or even job.

I am constantly role shifting to get that sweet instant pop in the DF, so that portrait is always going to be the DMV pose.

It's either that or generic sloot glam because they don't have job restrictions on the gear (swimsuits etc)
