Sprout Until Endwalker Now Nothing

I've been on FFXIV for about an year now. Was an sprout the entire time regardless of hours. Finally beaten Endwalker about a month ago and the icon is gone. /nastatus commands won't work for some reason. I gained my Trader Mentor icon yesterday and thought the issue was fixed but logged in today and no icon again. I play the game through the FFXIV launcher in case not playing it through Steam is the issue.

I'm... Confused. Yes, you're meant to lose the Sprout icon when you reach a certain playtime (170 hours?) and beat Shadowbringers. You actually had it all the way through Endwalker?... Now you wonder that it's gone when it was meant to vanish an expansion ago?

Yes, you graduated from being a sprout (new player status) and no longer qualify for it and the Novice Network.

The reason people suggest you become a trade mentor is because it allows you to get into the Novice Network under the guise of a "veteran player" except that trade mentor is ridiculously easy to get and new players can and do get it before beating Endwalker.

You should be able to change to Trade Mentor.

Novice status time got changed for EW to 300 hours of playtime, not 170.

To add to Jeeqbit's reply above, if you're trying to regain access to the Novice Network there should now be a Sprout icon next to the Settings icon in your chat window since you're a Trade Mentor. Clicking on that will get you back into NN as long as the maximum number of online mentors allowed in the channel at a time hasn't been reached (possible on many worlds since so many players use the Trade Mentor hack to stay in NN).

If you only want to have the Sprout icon again, you're out of luck on that character.
