    Point increase in Borderlands (Secure)

    Can we PLEASE either make the drones/killing a player/tick per flag owned give more points?

    I can't remember the last time I had a Secure that DIDN'T go to 20 mins

    The Time To Kill a player has changed so drastically since the PVP changes that the only "Catch up" method point wise is a total team wipe of another team, but with Battle High working the way it does, that is WAY harder than it had been before.

    I definitely think the drones should be worth more. The team that dominates and controls mid should be better rewarded. Maybe every phase, the middle drones are worth a little more than the last, which would function more like a sudden death mechanic for the 6:x and 2:x spawn.

    Ultimately I would like if the map's geometry was revised. Rather mid be a bowl, rather than a plateau. Think it would increase the pace in which groups moved if they could use the middle for traversing the map when it's not objective phase, and more flanks would happen.

    I heard back in the day they didn't have spawn invunlerability which made taking enemy teams' main bases more viable as the point gain is heavily cumulative.

    Agree 100%. Kinda sucks that Secure is the only day I don't do Frontline. Takes too long. Points gained feel awful for holding bases. Ramp is annoying if you get sneaky turds knocking people off but that's a topic for another day.

    I am in the same camp. Unless I am really desperate to play FL, it's the one map I skip. Even when people play it right, fun matches are rare. It's a boring and dated map.

    The current state of Secure is a result of them adding respawn invincibility to every map. While it doesn't have that much of an effect on the other maps, it's a problem on Secure due to how close the home base is to the spawn point. If they aren't willing to remove respawn invincibility, which they won't, they need to lower the amount of points you need to win from 1600 to 1400. Maybe even 1200.

    These "delete content" posts are cheap and lazy.

    It depends on how many bases you are holding. If you hold all 6 you get 32 points per tick. If you are just holding 3 bases, you only get 4p per tick.

    You are supposed to go for 4+ bases but people aren't doing it due to opposing players being able to defend their home base with seconds left on the buff timer.

    Thank god this isn't one of those then.

    I just want point inflation to combat the pvp changes since this maps introduction so it doesn't go to 20 mins without a winner 95% of the time

    Lol I think I've only ever seen that happen once and I remember thinking "wait... that's a thing!?".

    Honestly, I miss when the all the node points went to the team that dealt the most damage since 7/10 times the big node would end the game on the spot or put it really close to ending.
