    Futute Potential Crystalline Conflict Maps

    What kind of future maps would you like to be considered?

    The first of the future maps seems to be reserved for Kugane, which is pretty cool.

    That gives us:

    Kugane,
    Kind of Ishgard, but more like settlers in the clouds above, and around Coerthas (floating island map)
    Limsa Lominsa (Volcano)
    and Sharlayan

    IMO I think we are missing Gridania from the feast, and Uldah if we want to complete the basic city state themes.

    If were to go beyond basic I think these might fit.

    Gyr Albania, actual Ishgard proper (like a replicated fight in the city state, or out in a snowy battlefield), Doma, Thavnair, Mor Dohna, and maybe Idyllshire.

    Though I do think it would be cool to have the Crystarium, and Eulmore from the first as a map as well.

    Wouldn't even mind if they made pvp more interesting by having a random map or two an hour. Maybe two to spice things up for a set of rounds. I kind of like that they went the Splatoon route with the map, and had it rotate. It has potential, but I think needs more variety.

    An idea I got for a map is having the crystal path be loose sand with flat rocks or bricks on either side. Standing in the sand gives a stacking heavy debuff (10%/stack, max 50%) that will tick off 1 stack at a time when out of the sand.
    The idea is that you can't have just one person sit on the crystal when pushing as you would be slowed, but instead have to rotate people to push.

    That would work so well with a Sagoli desert theme. Id live for a Sagoli desert map if it were for Uldah's missing slot.

    This actually gets me thinking about how best to make each of these map ideas unique.

    An Ishgard map could feature dragons that would freeze the whole map, Uldahs could have sand mechanics, Gridania should tie into the elementals, and forest creatures, Doma could have to do with flooding water, Gyr Albania could tie into Ixion, and lightning, Thavnair could be about alchemy, and random status effects, Idyllshire could have time mechanics, and tie into alexanders mobs with the goblins.

    I cant think of any mechanics for Eulmore, and Crystarium, but stuff related to the Sin Eaters I think would be pretty cool in pvp. I love the idea of immortalizing past story mechanics in pvp modes, so that they can still be experienced, and stir up fond memories. That's why Fields of Glory, and Onsal Hakair are some of my favorite pvp maps. It feels like you're going back a step. Come to think of it, Endwalker would really do well for being represented by an Ascian moon stage, or even Ultima Thule itself. Though I feel the moon would be the safest route.

    Tbh, I only queue when it's the Sharlayan map or Volcanic Heart. Cloud Nine can die in a fire and I honestly wish it was changed/removed. Turbulence isn't a fun mechanic when guard is on cooldown and/or you have to chase a chocobo. Or the tornado hitting you and ping ponging you because "why not". Bleck.

    Back on topic, I'd like to see an Ishgard map for sure, similar to Shatter with snow and what not. I honestly prefer this mode without the damage gimmicks though and only tolerate VH because sidestepping is much more enjoyable than Guard+Chasing Chocobo+Random Tornado spawning on your face+Oops, guard was down from battle, time to die.

    I wish they would stop beating around the bush and add more TF2 game modes into CC. I would love some 4/4 or 8/8 CTF, payload, king of the hill, ect. with the smaller size of the CC maps.

    Maybe as a ranked player, I actually like all existing maps due to having a close relation to them all including cloud nine.

    But like some said, maybe a desert with quicksand effects.., Cutters Cry?..,
    [maybe a boon/negative depending on circumstance]

    I got more eastern feel out of Volcanic Heart tbh.

    Seeing as we in good terms with the -race/tribe here O- we could have a simulation, or of not them, an allagan Simulation map, will lead to open ended things. maybe even area access denial via levers and etc.

    We have trigger able Traps in the next zone. we can probably go deeper with that..,
    a trap that launches you forward or pulls back, etc potential into danger or safety.. a boon or negative.<depending, example if chase, allows you to escape faster.., or throws you into the midst of piranhas>

    thread could go on for days..,

    It is year 2030, CC maps now have PvE enemies, additional objectives, sometimes a 3rd team and a DJ playing your favorite story soundbites.
