Borderless Fullscreen Issue

I've been having a weird issue trying to log into the game, the game window opens off-center from my monitor, to the lower right, and I cannot move it or reach the menu options to change fullscreen modes...

Please note that if you can still log into the game, you would just need to press CTL+K in order to open the system settings and change these details. I eventually got into the game, by killing the program and restarting until it opened normally... when it happens, i cannot enter into the settings since the menu is unreachable with the mouse and hotkeys and keyboard arrows wont work there... this problem does happen frequently here, but usually if i kill the game and restart it works as intended, i got flustered this time since it took around an hour to manage to get into the game, was thinking it wouldn't work again... also it happens only on FFXIV

Thanks for providing us with an update. Are you able to adjust your settings once you have logged in successfully? I would recommend setting the game into different modes (fullscreen and windowed) to see if the issue persists the next time that you log in. Additionally, have you attempted any sort of troubleshooting previously?

As mentioned above, in the Configuration menu, if you go to System Config > Display, in this menu you should change the game to FULLSCREEN mode, don't use Borderless Window or Window mode.

Also, if it opens again like that, press the Windows key on your keyboard once, then use the mouse pointer to hover over the game window at the top, over the grey bar with FFXIV written on it, left click and hold button down and use mouse to move the window so you can see the entire window.

I've had similar issues though usually it's because another window or app is opening/maximising on the same screen I'm running FFXIV on - though usually I can click on the FFXIV window and it sorts itself out. Could be driver related? Have you updated your graphics drivers recently?

If you ever get really stuck you can set display options via editing the config file located (by default) in \Documents\My Games\FINAL FANTASY XIV - A Realm Reborn - look for FFXIV.cfg, open it with Notepad and you can then set system options accordingly such as resolution, fullscreen mode, display, etc.

Recommend making a copy of the file before you edit it as a backup and don't mess with it while the game is running.
