PS4 issue

ok, I'm super stressing so one final question.
I do not remember ps4 email, so playing on sony systems is a no go. If I buy the pc stuff from mogstation, does my psn id matter? Because my 14 account is obviously not under my psn email, I don't think it should but I'm just so lost about all of this.
If I buy pc licenses, can I login with this account? Or do I just need to accept defeat and start all the way over.

Im sorry if this is stupid but I really know basically nothing about pc gaming. Only comp we ever owned for the longest time was a rinkydink dell in the mid2000s I didnt try anything on bc it was the family computer.
I do own a laptop myself now but it doesnt have specs to play basically anything.

All you'll need to do is buy the PC versions of the game. Consider buying the collectors editions as well as you get some extras that will automatically apply to any of your characters (including new ones you might make in the future.)

DO NOT BUY ON STEAM. Trust me on that. Just buy directly through the Mogstation.

When it comes to updates, the launcher will show Update instead of Play and you'll have to click that to start the updates.

When it comes to picking a PC, be sure you meet all of the recommended specs and ask for help figuring that out if you need to when you go to buy one. The last thing you want is for the PC to either not run FF properly or limit you from doing anything else on it while you're playing FF.

As far as your login, when I swapped to PC from Playstation all I did was purchase the PC versions I was interested in and log in using the login I was using on the PS4 launcher (not your PSN login, the Mogstation login). My characters were still there with the only things missing being, I believe, macros and hotbar set ups. You'll have to redo those either way.

Jokes aside, if I go buy a passable pc, and it downloads 14, and theres no issues RUNNING 14, would I run into any issues with this account? Like, besides maybe having to change password or respond to an email.

I know a lot people who got ps5 for Christmas they around more now lol

If u get the PC version like everyone says your PSN means nothing so u have everything u has on the ps version u would need to redo all your bars if u can't breakup your stuff on ps4

As long as you register the pc version to your mogstation account it has nothing to do with the Playstation registry. The only thing that matters is the Square Enix account. I currently play on my ps5 but have all registered to play on a ps4 and up to heavensward for PC. When I can i will get the other 3 or 4 expansions for pc but currently don't have a decent pc to play on.

Once you register the pc license then You just log in on the pc launcher with your login and pw for ffxiv, update and go from there. It's as simple as pie to do

as someone who used to play xiv on the ps3/ps4, i understand how it can be stressful to move to PC. once i did, however, i never went back. if you play on controller, it works just the same on pc, so no worries! i do suggest backing up all your UI / hotbar settings on the ps4 so that you can transfer it over to your PC. you can do that in the character select menu when you launch it on your PS4. good luck on the pc shopping though c:
