Okay so lets get a small history or whatever I'm gonna do in this post.

I agree that Feast was a good mode and objective based kill and collect scenario. But why did nobody like Feast though its skills were somewhat very balanced for all pvp modes?

I will explain as a duelist/ previous expansion pvp enjoyer.

First off let's get into the tier list played in the highest level.

Now this is the tier list solo. But it gives you a general idea how a class performed.
Healers were unkillable unless they're grouped up on. Drk and Gnb were exceptional, while PLD had to do some work. Warrior wasn't that great and had limited usability and was team oriented class.

Rdm was overtuned damage and healing wise, as well as many charges of crowd control and displacement. After that, mostly everything revolved around Sam/Mnk skills and player skill. Many of the other classes had limited options. Dragoon was only favorable in FL and somewhat Feast based on comp.

Now the truth about the player base. The majority seem to be followers instead of leaders. Just like PvE when someone does the work for most optimal dps combo and mastering fights against bosses, they did research and everyone followed suit. Pvp was more advanced and fulfilling when it was that way .

It tested your reflexes as well as how to play different scenarios. Rock, Paper, Scissors was mostly the case in many fights and the intensity of being off by a millisecond can tip the scale to the opponents favor or your favor depending on defensive and offensive option oGCDs. There was also moments where you force an opponent to do something to make yourself have an even greater advantage. It was very calculated and well thought of design.

Many people dislike to do the homework that mmo veterans have subconsciously ingrained into themselves after practice and going through the steps of the Dunning-Kruger effect.

Lots of players don't like Hotbar cycling.. which made the game more intense and you had 2 bars and probably more in previous pvp modes, plus macros to do more things based on scenarios. Potions were the best cause MP skill for health is plain absurd by design. And finally the greatest aspect was weaving skills within your burst window.
