But on the other hand, making such things easy to use are still part of basic conveniences that housing needs. And because of that, even if its very obvious what was done, is still a part that will make housing better. As from my experiences, most people arent going to visit random houses that fast anyway. If someone wants to do such generic thing, let them. Sure, its going to make the ones that realy managed to put those partitions well, a bit less special, but i think its still worth it. Those people that can do it well are more likely to like 'exploiting' features in housing anyway, and can always come up with new nice ways to decorate using things in unintended ways.
Also, just want to point out that the point of a trick bookcase door is that it looks like all the other bookshelves around it, but it has a secret door. So how does this work without regular bookcase partitions? The mounted bookshelf, which almost matches the trick door, doesn't go all the way up to the cieling.
