    Suggestion: Ultimate Raid Housing Items

Wasn't sure if I should post this here, or in general discussion, but as it is a housing request, here goes:

I would love to see wall mounted, interactable ultimate weapons.

    My idea is basically:
    1. Clear Ultimate Raid
    2. Collect totem
    3. use totem to buy weapon
    4. new menu is unlocked in vendor
    5. weapons you have bought can also now be bought for gil as a wall mounted housing item
    6. once placed in house / apartment / FC room, it is interactable, and displays the same glow as when you draw your ultimate weapon when equipped

Just think it would be a nice touch. Maybe wall mounted on a plaque. It would avoid the nonsense of having to place it on a mannequin, which also doesn't solve the cool glowy aspect.

Also, other ideas can be used to so they aren't redundant. Like a sword in a stone for paladin, I don't know, just thought it would be cool.

Given the way housing works, these items would be sellable secondhand for people who had never cleared ultimate through sharing housing then letting them take the item into their inventory. I don't know if that would be a good idea, especially if these were buyable for gil, people would just buy the item, place it, sell it to someone else, and then buy the item back again from the vendor.

That's a really good point that I never thought about. Shame really. I would love to have my TEA gunblade on a plaque in the living room lol.

You could maybe equip the weapon on a mannequin and place it inside the wall, so that only the weapon is visible. It's not really the same, but it's the closest thing I could think of ^_^.

You can make the item only function like that if the original owner is also owner/tenant of the house. If that player isnt the owner of the house anymore, the weapon loses its effect with it. And you can then also make the regular version available through other means, making even the effectless weapon, worthless in value.

Alternatively, the item gets removed from the housing when the owner is no longer attached to the house. As its unstackable with anything, it wont be usable for other exploits in housing. (the item is moved to the calamity salvager)

Selling becomes meaningless this way and just a waste of effort and gil. The only downside is that people can use this to scam others by showing that item in the house... but at the same time... it at least punishes those people from doing those trades and sustaining a system that is flawed (and at least they still get a house).

that's a whole lot of retooling the item system and adding extra features just for a feature that affects a fraction of a fraction of the player base, being Ultimate raiders who have a house.

I've thought of that but the mannequins are kinda meh, and with the gunblade, it ends up poointing directionally, not straight down or straight side to side. Also, no glow. ;-; But thanks for the input! ^_^

Exactly. Is definitely needed. All that work for the weapon, would be a nice touch if I could show it off in my house, apartment, or FC room as well.

(Also, they really do need to add new classes to the old ultimates for weapon options)
