Rewards for casual play used to be tomestones and wolf marks only.

They extend the reward for Seasonal ranked Feast to every player and now it's FOMO.

I missed a Holloween party this year. Next year there won't be the same kind of party. The theme and people will be different. I guess festivals and holidays are FOMO too.

Why don't people realize that? We need to be vocal about this.

Unironically I would love to be able to replay old seasonal events. Both the ones that happened before I started playing the ones I havent missed. Some of them were really sweet quests like the one where the WoL got letters from all kinds of different people.

player skill is not the issue here, CC is alright but it does need some changes or an addition of party queues. People already time their queues with friends and mess about, was fun before but now they're doing it to be toxic.
first season we all saw the Everyone attack! spammers, but now people actively seek you out and gang up on you, emote on your dead body cause you killed them 3 times inside a skirmish in other matches :'D
same people would then get queued with you a day later and would throw the match just cause they're on your team with their friend in the other.

pvp definitely needs different modes and either allow party queues or none at all (que with friends at the same time).but mostly, they really need something better than a trash mob dragon to entice people to go for 75% series lol

Skill is absolutely the issue the majority of the time. I know from my own experience and discussions with others. If people aren't all on board with trying to actually hit objectives and play smart, you're screwed and the fun is gone. It's been a long road to get victory achievements and I've taken a nice break because of this.

I'm not denying that there have been some issues in balance, but even PLD cheese was overcome by people actually coming together and focusing on fighting off the problem.

Remember when MMOs would let you earn the awards from previous events? ...Nah, me neither. :/

"FOMO" when you have 4 months to do it. That shit was done within the first month. If anything there should be more rewards / incentive so people keep playing PVP, CC ranked queues are constantly dead

Main issues with PvP is lack of meaningful rewards and being unable to play with friends.

If you played semi actively when it came out, you would already have Crystal rank borders and whatnot on top of massive pile of Trophy Crystals with nothing meaningful to buy or gain in subsequent seasons.
Not being able to party queue killed the casual interest even more than the lackluster rewards, most of my friends don't care about playing it solo to get anything but would have loved to queue up with me just to chat while playing together.

Business Unit 3 has such an MMO. FFXI added to their events instead of replacing them. Rewards from past events can be gained in different ways but either doing the mini-games and quests or buying them from NPC vendors.
