ok hot button topic here and lil back story on me ive played MMOs for longer than i should im and old player and im most confertable in dps but solid off tanking and cursed healer. i fully belives in the holy trinity of tank dps heals. that said im looking for an Official post on this if you can help.

Tanks job --> pull the mobs keep, threat blow CDs to not die
DPS job ---> stab,burn,cussout mobs till their dead or grovling, hit tankts MT for bonus points interuptt and your my new king/queen
Healers job--> heal the stupid , protect with life, and consume caffine/rum to put up with peaple in fire

bad humor aside for YEARS its been you spank it you tank it, and this is a hill ill die on unless SE or a GM has otherwise.
i big argument i got in is DPS thinking they can pull, ok if the tank is cool with ti fine no biggie, if the tank asks you to stop i got rage. i generaly pull as fast as my CDs alow me to or im confertable with, or my healer can keep me alive through. yes i dont want dps to pull for me cause i know my skill and i may not be able to get it off in time i might miss a CD a heal might go to them ect. I will ask them to stop if they dont well your probly gonna die, and im now the evil person here.

all they have shown me is the monster kill grief B, but if you read that
1 the mob was pulled by them not lead to them,
2 i am not manipulating the threat on that monster it all on them, by the reading if i taunt im doing that
3 im not the one being uncoopertive i have a hard time grabbing odd mobs i didnt pull thats why i like to pull to keep it clean and i said something nicely already.

then im pelted with, they dont have to read chat if you cant wall to wall dont tank.
telling tanks that cant handle it that they should do trust/duty, thier for kicking them out from playing with others

to me this is a leading cause of lack of tanks these same peaple will complain about a lack of tanks as they chase out peaple trying to learn or do thier best threating to get them reported if they cant "get on my level"

this is not a ego mentality of a tank they are trying to do thier job, and i want to see SE statement somewhere if it around here on what the role are suppose to do. if im wrong by them then well crap im an old fart and im wrong! but to me we all get in to a rulo and we work togeather i see all the time the tank saying hey first time or big pulls ok? this is what we do and if you think dps should pull then well you pull wall to wall and let the tank get the mobs at the end and see if you live if the mobs dont run wild.

Unless the tanks ok with it, I personally don't like it when healers/dps pull mobs and generally have zero issues when a tank lets the person who pulled to die. People get pissy about the whole "you pull you tank" stuff and think its toxic, but I generally view the impatient person pulling ahead of the tank as the toxic one. Tanks control the pace of the dungeon and if you don't like it then just take the leaver penalty or play tank yourself.
