Voices during in-game cutscenes very quiet

Voices during in-game cutscenes are very quiet. All sounds in game are crystal clear except voices during cutscenes. It sounds like they're far away inside a large empty hall. Footsteps and everything else is normal.
This is the only example I could find of someone else experiencing the issue online (My video is fine);

I'm on Windows 11
Unsure if relevant, but I experienced the issue after playing around with some macros. I had a few sound macros prepared
Macro1; /mastervolume 0
Macro2; /mastervolume 25 /bgm 15
Macro3; /mastervolume 40 /bgm 40
Macro4; /mastervolume 100
The issue started happening after swapping between Macros 2 and 3. Again, not sure if this is relevant.

I've gone to the Gridania Inn to troubleshoot using the cutscene viewer
Steps i've taken to troubleshoot;
- Checked other applications and sound is fine; youtube via browser, other games etc work fine
- Set sound sliders in game, all to 100%
- Changed the Listening position setting
- Reset in-game settings to default
- Reinstalled the game
- Reset settings via the Launcher
- Restored cloud settings from the character select screen
- Tested the sound through two different headsets and my laptops native speakers
- Downloaded my system settings from the cloud on the Character Select screen to settings from a few days ago
- Shared screens with a friend on Discord and they also hear the muffled voices on their end through the screen share
- Deleted the FFXIV folder in My Documents

None of this worked. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Fixed. I Factory reset my laptop, reinstalled FFXIV and the problem persisted.
I set my Nvidia GeForce to optimise FFXIV and still no noticeable improvement

I redownloaded my system config and character settings from the cloud in the Character select screen and that fixed it.

IDK what the problem was. Idk what specifically fixed it. My best guess is FFXIV have magic servers.
