I figured the whole is like the primordial depths in most creation myths, endless, bottomless, oceanic abyss

I assumed that it was like a black whole, especially since Althyk created time a "weight" which I took to be gravity. My curiosity lies with the possibility of something beyond it the gods had to have emerged/stepped or crawled from somewhere, theological sources in game seem a bit lacking though.
