I have entered 8 housing lotteries and I have lost all of them, so can someone tell me how many I gotta enter before I win? Cause losing week after week is starting to annoy me.

The best chance for a house is when the wards first go live and picking one that isn't a prime location would help a lot. Maybe one in Ul Dah which has the least demand. Sure everyone wants the prime spot but they'll have a lot more bids and your chances will be a lot less.
I would also recommend waiting until the morning the lottery closes to try and find a house that has 0 bids or maybe 1 or 2 if you can't find one with no bids but i'll bet there will be some with none. Lots of people try for those prime spots first round and it's better to have A HOUSE that you can always try and upgrade in the second round or when more wards are added in the future.
When the new wards are added in January with the patch that is what I would recommend.
Also moving to a new Data Center almost guarantees you get a house but not everyone is willing to make that type of move.

I moved from Crystal to Primal and have been trying for a house since I have arrived with no luck as I have stated. But I usually go look at the spots before I bid, if there are multiple open spots, and pick the none prime location ones. But even then by the time the entry period is over the spot I bid one went from like 11 people to 50+. Every housing bid I have enter for smalls has 50+ participants in it.
Yes it's late in the lottery now. Most plots are gone. They will be adding 6 wards (regular and subdivision) with 6.3 that is your best chance for house when those go live. Again I would wait for the morning the lottery closes before bidding and try and find one with 0 or few bids. That's going to be 1800 houses although we don't know how many will be allocated to Free Companies.I moved from Crystal to Primal and have been trying for a house since I have arrived with no luck as I have stated. They haven't announced the date houses will go on sale but could be day 1 with the patch and as you know you will have 5 days to bid.

Yea that is probably my best chance to win is to wait but I'm impatience lol so I will probably keep bidding till then, but I just find losing 8 housing lotteries in a row just stupid and annoying
If you are bidding against 100s of other people, the odds are not in your favor. That is simply the nature of it. When new wards come out, either wait until the 11th hour and bid on the plot with the lowest number of bids, or jump in and bid immediately in the hopes that players will look to bid on plots with 0 bids and leave your plot alone for a while.
NA has a new data center with lots of available plots.
I know people have been advising till the last day to place your bid but that could run into danger that by the last day, every single plot would have at least one bid so your chance becomes less certain.
While it's good advice, I would even go further to recommend that you place your bid on a one with zero bids one to two days before the lottery ends when 6.3 release. That way, there's a chance that you will be the sole bid if you place yours on a less popular plot such as one in the outskirts of Toblet.
That being said, I'm just gonna go straight for LB-41 myself since if I miss this chance, I probably won't get another forever since I'm on Balmung.
