hello jamie, i have exciting news for you. a new series has started today. if you play a game or 2, daily, you will be done long before the end of the series, and may avoid any FOMO you feel. it is terrific! see you there

I use to be in your shoes. Pressured to do things for pixels. I played wow since 2005 and chased cutting edges and other FOMO stuff. Even tried getting gladiator mounts here and there. I have a plethora of mounts in my old account and pets and cosmetics, I have CM mode stuff from MOP and WOD. I have Season 1 and 2 Shadowland Mythic+ mount too and all but the last AOTC mount. But the longer i played the more i realized the only reason i was doing it is because 'no one will be able to get it' and it cut into my time and life.
The FOMO in other MMOs and games can get downright unfun and job like. With FF14 despite your displeasure doing PVP and waiting till last minute to get rewards, has math in place and a good understanding how long it can take. If you do the bare minimum of your daily frontline and let's say 3rd place (1k Series EXP) each day, it will take 8 days to get the emote (5), 15 days to get the first framer kit (10), about 20 days or so to get the mount (15), roughly 26 days for the last Framer (20) and then 32 or so days to get the last reward (25) in total going about 2 months of passive grinding. They give you enough time in the world and made it so anyone who does just daily frontline even if they sit on their ass in spawn 24/7 can obtain the 25 rewards. It's a matter of putting time and energy into making it a daily habit until you get the reward.
What i'm getting from your side is you do not want to PVP at all for the rewards you want which is fine. But anyone can get the emote within 14 or so Crystal Confine Matches if they lose all 14 in a row which is not that long of a grind at all.
Like a famous guy said.
"JUST DO IT! DON'T LET YOUR DREAMS BE DREAMS!"
and hey if you don't want to do it because you don't like pvp but you want the reward, just tell yourself it does not matter. It's pixels and i can always get something better or easier without going through PVP like the 4 million MGP blimp.
Mute the game. Put on some YouTube. Push W or E if you are a superior ESDF player like me. Click a button now and then. Eventually you will notice the match has ended and you have gotten xp/tomes. Repeat as necessary. You don't have to actually enage with the pvp. You have to log in and move.
I'd rather spam lose than eek out a win. It's better, xp. I'm just saying. I don't, but it is better xp. 1400 xp for two losses or 900 xp for one win.

Focus on winning more games to speed it up. I'm being honest when I say that. That's been my mentality every series but I also really enjoy this janky pvp.Can we stop having the amount of xp needed for each level increasing periodically? It makes getting it feel worse tbh. There is zero reason to have the amount required increase. Its already at least 7 hours of grinding in total if you lose every match at 3000xp per level to get to rank 25 and thats being generous.
they should still be adding past series rewards as trophy crystal/ colalr redeems. just make them cost a lot, so you still need to grind for it .
And after a bunch of games you'll get a well deserved warning/ban for griefing.Mute the game. Put on some YouTube. Push W or E if you are a superior ESDF player like me. Click a button now and then. They should increase the required Series EXP and put more rewards behind it and other PvP currencies. Currently people farm it in less than week with active PvP.

Haven't even been playing every day since new series, but if I do it's just one match a day and I'm just 2 ranks away from that last item set coffer, pffrrrr, who gets upset with how easy this is lol?
